Teamsters nurses’ strike hits 3-month mark amid labor complaints
Dec. 3, 2025 | Teamsters Local 332 accuses the hospital of unlawful bargaining practices, and Henry Ford argues the union’s broader agenda drives the dispute. The Teamsters announced it has filed multiple unfair labor practice charges with the National Labor Relations Board, alleging the hospital has refused to meet and bargain, made unlawful threats toward striking nurses, and improperly declared an impasse while more than 750 nurses and case managers remain on the picket line. Learn more.

Teamsters ink first-ever regional contract at Sysco
Dec. 10, 2025 | More than 1,000 Sysco drivers and warehouse workers across Northern California and Nevada have overwhelmingly ratified the first-ever regional collective bargaining agreement negotiated by the Teamsters at Sysco. The four-year agreement delivers a 34 percent wage increase, substantial improvements to pension contributions, top-tier Teamsters health care, and robust protections against unsafe conditions and harmful automation practices. The new agreement covers members of Teamsters Locals 137, 533, and 853, and is the direct result of a credible strike threat. Learn more.

Teamsters oppose proposed Union Pacific-Norfolk Southern merger
Dec. 17, 2025 | Leaders of the Teamsters Union and Teamsters rail divisions issued a statement today strongly opposing “any agreement or merger that fails to safeguard” the unions' 20,000 Union Pacific and Norfolk Southern workers. “The Teamsters investigated the terms of the acquisition for five months, held meetings with members nationwide, and directly negotiated with Union Pacific’s and Norfolk Southern’s leadership. Executives from both carriers – particularly Union Pacific – refused to make real commitments to protect jobs and address the concerns of our members.” Full press release and additional information.

Teamsters file nationwide ULP charges against Airgas
Dec. 19, 2025 | Airgas Teamsters have been on strike since June 2 nationwide over unfair labor practices. Pickets were extended to 15 facilities in 11 states. Throughout and after these extensions, Airgas illegally retaliated against workers, unlawfully terminating and suspending members in Pennsylvania and California; locking out members in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Ohio, Rhode Island, New York, and Michigan; threatening members in Massachusetts, California, Rhode Island, Ohio, and New Jersey; and permanently replacing members in Ohio and New Jersey, for exercising their contractually-protected right to honor extended picket lines and to strike. Learn more

500 Teamsters at Home of the Seahawks score first contract
Dec. 23, 2025 | More than 500 guest services workers at Lumen Field, represented by Teamsters Local 117, have voted overwhelmingly to ratify their first union contract. The workers, employed by First & Goal, Inc., staff one of the marquee sporting venues in the country — home to the Seattle Seahawks, Seattle Sounders, and Seattle Reign — and a host site for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Learn more
