DHL Teamsters ratify new collective bargaining agreement

The new agreement was secured following a credible strike threat that would have involved thousands of DHL Teamsters across 26 locals nationwide. The new four-year contract includes a 20 percent wage increase, higher health and welfare contributions, and critical job protections. Local 355 annual 2026 scholarships awarded
May 6, 2026 | For 60 consecutive years, Local 355 has proudly invested in the future of its members’ families through its annual scholarship program. This year, the union awarded a total of $8,000 in scholarships to two outstanding high-school seniors selected during a drawing held at the May 3, 2026, membership meeting at the Baltimore office. Each recipient will receive a $4,000 scholarship, distributed at the rate of $1,000 per academic year. One of this year’s scholarship recipients is Kobe Faley, son of Local 355 member Lauren Faley. Kobe will graduate from Perryville High School in Perryville, Maryland, on May 30, 2026. Lauren works at the UPS Air Ramp at BWI Airport. Also receiving a scholarship is Lacey Dukes, daughter of Brian Dukes, a UPS package driver in Easton, Maryland. Lacey will graduate from North Dorchester High School on May 27, 2026. Local 355 congratulates Kobe and Lacey on their achievements and wishes them continued success as they begin the next chapter of their educational journeys.
UNFI Teamsters ratify strong first contract
May 10, 2026 | Roughly 300 Teamsters Local 745 members at United Natural Foods Inc. (UNFI) in Lancaster, Texas, have overwhelmingly ratified their first Teamsters contract. The agreement covers 300 warehouse workers and delivers a 23 percent wage increase, Teamsters health care, a defined benefit pension plan, and strong job protections. “This contract is going to change our lives for years to come,” said Laqurria Marshall, a warehouse worker and member of Local 745. Meanwhile, in Tampa, Florida, 80 UNFI drivers unanimously voted to join the Teamsters. “Gone are the days of unfair treatment and favoritism. Gone are the days of unfair business practices. Gone are the days of begging for a livable wage,” said Rob Kroupa, a seven-year driver at UNFI.
Minnesota Sysco Teamsters unanimously authorize strike
May 14, 2026 | Drivers at Sysco Western Minnesota, represented by Teamsters Local 120, have unanimously authorized a strike if the food service giant fails to deliver an acceptable collective bargaining agreement. Teamsters are demanding a contract with wages, benefits, and working conditions that meet or exceed the standards secured by thousands of Sysco Teamsters nationwide. The current agreement expires on May 17. Sysco is one of the largest and most profitable food service providers in the United States. 1,700+ Teamsters employed at Cargill Meat Solutions demand end to lockout
May 20, 2026 | More than 1,700 Teamsters at Cargill Meat Solutions in Fort Morgan, Colorado, were locked out this morning after months of fighting for a new collective bargaining agreement. The meat-processing giant has refused to offer Teamsters Local 455 members the necessary improvements in wages, health care, and safety protections. Workers at the Cargill facility are critical to processing millions of pounds of beef for American families nationwide.
