Maryland Teamsters rally for strong contract at ZUM
Sept. 2, 2025 | Teamsters Local 570 members at Zum Transportation in Jessup rallied today to show a unified front and their readiness to secure a strong first contract. The group consists of more than 300 bus drivers, van drivers, trainers, and attendants who provide student transportation for Howard County Public Schools. Earlier this year, the group voted by a four-to-one margin to join the Teamsters in order to fight for a contract that reflects the work that they put into their community and gives them the respect they’ve more than earned. Virginia Teamsters at Genesis Logistics launch strike
Sept. 5, 2025 | More than 200 drivers at Genesis Logistics in Virginia, a subsidiary of DHL Supply Chain, are on strike after the company failed to bargain seriously and committed multiple unfair labor practices. The Teamsters Local 322 members deliver to 7-Eleven convenience stores across the Mid-Atlantic and are demanding a fair first contract that includes real wage increases, affordable healthcare, and safer working conditions. Amazon Teamsters rally after attack on workers in NY
Sept. 8, 2025 | Teamsters and supporters rallied today at Amazon’s DBK4 facility in Queens following the company’s sudden and illegal firing of over one hundred of its unionized drivers. “When normal people break the law, they go to jail. When Amazon executives do it, they get rewarded,” said Randy Korgan, Director of the Teamsters Amazon Division. “Amazon’s crime spree has gone on long enough. The Teamsters are fully prepared to put these crooks in their place if they don’t reinstate our brothers and sisters at DBK4.” Learn more

Teamsters join lawmakers to introduce Faster Labor Contracts Act
Sept. 17, 2025 | Yesterday, Teamsters General President Sean M. O’Brien and Teamsters members went to Capitol Hill for the introduction of legislation that would require employers to collectively bargain with newly organized workers within 10 days of voting to form their union. “This legislation is one of the most consequential bills for organized labor in generations. The Teamsters Union is calling on Congress to take this bipartisan bill seriously and pass it,” said General President Sean O'Brien. Learn more
Boston Teamsters win Republic Services strike
Sept. 20, 2025 | Republic Services workers represented by Teamsters Local 25 have won a historic strike against the multibillion-dollar waste corporation, ratifying a new contract by a powerful 92 percent margin. Republic forced more than 400 members of Local 25 out on strike on July 1. Teamsters in Georgia and Ohio will remain on picket lines against Republic until they are offered a fair new agreement. Teamsters mourn death of UPS member after tragic accident
Sept. 24, 2025 | A UPS Teamsters part-timer represented by Teamsters Local 315 of Martinez, Calif., tragically lost her life during an incident on Sunday while at work in the town of Richmond. The International Union remains in close contact with the affiliate local as a formal investigation remains ongoing. The Union understands that CAL-OSHA, the California Department of Industrial Relations, is actively investigating the tragic incident, that occurred during the sort and loading of a trailer at the Richmond North Bay facility.
