Teamsters launch one-day UPS strike at Amazon's largest warehouse
 Sept. 2, 2026 | Today, Amazon Teamsters at the DJT6 facility in Riverside, California — Amazon’s largest warehouse facility in the nation — launched a one-day unfair labor practice (ULP) strike. “Amazon thinks it can trample workers’ rights with no consequences, but Amazon Teamsters at DJT6 are proving them wrong,” said Randy Korgan, Director of the Teamsters Amazon Division and Secretary-Treasurer of Local 1932. “Amazon has ignored the law for long enough. If this multitrillion-dollar company won’t listen to workers on the job, then we will make it listen to us on the streets.” Learn more.

And tankhaulers in Virginia know life’s better with North America’s strongest union, and are willing to fight for it. Honoring Teamster first responders’ courage and patriotism
 Sept. 11, 2026 | On September 11, 2001, hundreds of Teamsters in New York City answered our nation's call to service. Our members in the construction trades immediately got to work cleaning up Ground Zero — 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for 9 months. After the debris was cleared, Teamsters stayed on-site and went to work rebuilding the World Trade Center. Today we honor our Local 282 members who have suffered serious illness linked to their exposure at the site for their courage, patriotism, and lasting contribution they made to rebuild New York City after one of our nation’s darkest hours. O'Brien throws down the gauntlet to UPS: Strike coming in 2028
 Sept. 15, 2026 | It’s two years until the contract between United Parcel Service and its 330,000 unionized drivers and package handlers is due for renewal, normally a time when labor-employer relationships are less contentious. The Teamsters union is ready for war. Issues the union is prepared to strike over include expected attempts to roll back health and pension benefits, automation and deployment of autonomous trucks, and alleged outsourcing of last-mile delivery and supply chain functions to non-union subsidiaries.  Sept. 17, 2026 | Yesterday, Amazon Teamsters and their allies rallied outside of Chicago City Hall to demand that the Chicago City Council schedule a vote on the Delivery Protection Act before a Subject Matter Hearing between the License and Consumer Protection & Workforce Development committees. “The momentum to hold Amazon accountable is growing nationwide. Amazon Teamsters in Chicagoland are now taking the baton and showing Amazon that we will not stop,” said Randy Korgan, Director of the Teamsters Amazon Division. Learn more here.
Teamsters extend picket lines to additional Coca-Cola facilities
 Sept. 22, 2026 | Teamsters at Coca-Cola Consolidated Inc. in Anderson, Ind., have extended their unfair labor practice (ULP) strike to additional company operations. Over 300 Teamsters in Ohio exercised their individual legal and contractual right to refuse to cross the extended picket line, effectively shutting down the company’s state operations. Nearly 50 drivers and merchandisers were forced to strike after the company failed to bargain in good faith. “Coca-Cola Consolidated continues to put unserious offers on the table,” said Mark Morris, a merchandiser and member of Local 135.
