Good News on the Labor Front as Union Membership Grows

Feb. 8, 2024 | UNIONS | A new report by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics has shown that union membership rose by 139,000 in 2023. In the private sector, union members grew by 191,000. The combination of widespread abysmal wages and conditions for workers in America and significant wins for some prominent unions, such as the Teamsters with UPS and the UAW in Detroit, seems to have emboldened many to take a stand and fight for what they deserve. Support for unions is at a high of 71%, the highest in 60 years. 88% of young people have expressed support for unions. Labor Press
