Deere Workers OK Latest Contract Offer, End Strike
Posted On: Nov 18, 2021
Nov. 18, 2021 | STRIKES | Deere and Co. workers have approved the company's third and final contract. On Wednesday, 61% of union members ratified the contract ending a month-long strike for more than 10,000 employees. The new contract will deliver 10% raises immediately, offer a $8,500 ratification bonus, and preserve a pension option for new employees. The UAW president said in a statement, “UAW John Deere members did not just unite themselves, they seemed to unite the nation in a struggle for fairness in the workplace.”… NPR  Photo/Charlie Neibergall, AP
