Molson Coors Teamsters Face Prolonged Strike
Updated On: Mar 20, 2024

Mar. 19, 2024 | STRIKES | The strike at Molson Coors’ Fort Worth [Texas] brewery has now reached its second month, with union leaders reporting no visible progress towards an agreement. The 420 striking workers, represented by Teamsters Local 997, and Molson Coors remain at odds in negotiations, particularly regarding issues such as pay raises and the elimination of the company’s two-tiered health care and retirement benefits system. Last month, the union rejected an offer from the company that included a 99-cent raise over three years. In the company’s year-end financial results, president and CEO Gavin Hattersley celebrated a successful year, with Molson Coors reporting annual revenue of $11.7 billion and a sales increase over the previous year.
