June 19, 2026 | LOCKOUTS | A labor dispute leading to a lockout at the Cargill meatpacking plant in Fort Morgan has kept roughly 1,700 employees out of work since May 20th, when the company closed the facility after workers rejected what they described as a lowball contract offer. Negotiations have been at a standstill since June 8, according to both parties. “As far as right now there is no movement on their end,” said Servando Shawn Payan, business agent with Teamsters Local 455, the union that represents workers at Cargill. “On our end, we're always willing to sit down.” Continued at CPR.Org
