 Dec. 19, 2025 | WORKERS’ RIGHTS | The good news: Last night, the Senate confirmed a new General Counsel and two new members of the National Labor Relations Board. …The primary practical outcome of this is that the Board will be able to resume issuing decisions on requests for review of Regional Director decisions and exceptions to Administrative Law Judge decisions. NLRB Edge The bad news: Crystal Carey will be the new NLRB General Counsel, making the top union-buster for Amazon, Apple, Tesla, and SpaceX, the NLRB's chief enforcement officer and de facto chief of staff. Carey’s law firm represents Amazon and SpaceX in pending federal lawsuits arguing that the NLRB’s structure is unconstitutional.
