Labor Unions Lend Support to Paramount-Warner Bros. Settlement

 Sept. 25, 2026 | HORIZONTAL MERGERS | Several key labor unions are applauding a settlement reached by Paramount Skydance Corp. to help complete its $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery Inc., despite concerns the merger could lead to job losses and a long-term loss of bargaining power. The five- year agreement … contains a suite of pro-labor provisions designed to appease concerns that the newly merged company would lead to downsizing. Worker provisions have garnered support from organized labor — including the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, and the Directors Guild of America.
